The Celebration! Cross

The Celebration! cross is a gift to, and from, the people of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.  The cross is central to our faith. It boldly declares that Jesus Christ is the hope of the world! It is a sign of hope and life so that those in need of a helping hand and comfort will be uplifted and not be left behind.

This unique symbol represents the calling by each of us to serve others.  Its presence is a constant reminder and affirmation that our individual acts of kindness and compassion can make a difference in the lives of those in need.

The cross is two exclamation points.  It is leaning forward to symbolize our vision of Christ-like love and energy to serve and reach out to others.  Its bold punctuation reflects a sense of urgency to reach out beyond our church and become a beacon of hope within our community and beyond.  Jesus calls us to “take up the cross and follow.”  With our new Celebration! cross we not only take up the cross, we lift it high for all to see.
