For children grades 1-5, children attend class with their parents for 3 sessions. The class is held instead of church school those days. At the end of the sessions, children receive a stone for their cross received the first day of the program.

Students and parents will learn the words of the Lord’s Prayer as a model for how they can pray to God.

 

Students and parents will learn how and why they should make room for God in their life.

 

Students will receive their own special Bible, which they will then become familiar with and learn to use.  In this special stone, students and parents begin with a Sunday afternoon “Bible Bash” and then continue their journey through the Bible during four subsequent Church School classes (one per month).

 

Students and parents will discuss the reasons why Christians serve, as well as design their own service project.

 

Students and parents will study the meaning and origins of this special sacrament, following which, those who have not yet communed will receive their first communion.

 

Students and parents will explore what it means to be confirmed, discuss the challenges of going into junior high, and commit themselves to the exciting journey of confirmation.

 

If you and your children are intterested in being part of the stepping stones, you may choose to participate in either the 9:00 or 10:10 class. Watch for specific dates when the classes will be offered.
